4/13/2023 0 Comments Open pdf in libreoffice writer![]() ![]() The print to file function includes all of this information just the way it looks but is uneditable. ![]() ![]() It would be so much easier if everything I saw in a certain application, whether it's an email message or a pdf file or what have you, could just be transfered over to an editable program the way it looked in the application and without leaving things out, such as heading titles, subject titles, times/dates, to & from addresses, etc. I've been finding ways around it, such as with copy/paste functions, but these are often inadequate and not very user-friendly. Also, when people send me stuff to check it for accuracy, I will be able to make corrections to it before sending it back. The reason I would like to edit the PDF or XPS is that when I share the same information with other people, I need to change and update certain parts of the text, such as the dates and new discoveries or updated stats. If there is a way to do so, I would appreciate knowing how. When I choose "print to file", I do not see an option to create an editable version, such as. I apologize if I upset you somehow I didn't mean any offense by my inquiry. Usually, there's no harm in asking, and certainly no offense was meant in doing so although your responses indicate that offense was taken. I am not aware of a print to file driver that produces an editable document so I'm thinking that your reference to the driver that is available on the MS platform is one that produces a viewable document only, which I, obviously, already have. Every person I've ever talked to about the subject would love to have a way to produce an editable print to file document as well as be able to edit pdf and xps documents without spending huge amounts of money for the software to do so (the ones that actually work) so I know that the demand really is there for such a product for those that would like to be able to do more than just view the document. ![]() My inquiry was in the hopes of finding either a print to file driver that produced an editable document or be able to edit the XPS document produced by the Microsoft driver, including a way to convert to pdf so that the file could be forwarded to and read by people who do not have the XPS viewer installed (most everybody has Adobe). ![]()
